Being in a relationship with a narcissist inverts your reality.

Dr. Ramani Durvasula

Narcissistic Abuse Counseling & Support

What is Narcissistic Abuse?

What is Narcissistic Abuse?

Narcissistic abuse is a pattern of emotional, psychological, and sometimes financial or physical control used by someone with narcissistic traits. It can leave you feeling:

  • Confused and doubting your own reality
  • Drained, anxious, or constantly “on edge”
  • Guilty for wanting boundaries or independence
  • Like your needs, voice, and feelings don’t matter

Narcissistic abuse often includes cycles of love-bombing, manipulation, gaslighting, criticism, and withdrawal. Over time, this can deeply affect your self-esteem, relationships, and ability to trust yourself.

Signs You May Be Experiencing Narcissistic Abuse

  • Constant criticism, shaming, or belittling
  • Gaslighting (making you question your memory or reality)
  • Walking on eggshells to avoid conflict
  • Control over money, friendships, or decisions
  • Emotional highs and lows that keep you off balance
  • Blame-shifting: nothing is ever their fault
  • Threats, silent treatment, or withholding affection
  • Feeling invisible, small, or like you’ve lost yourself

Narcissistic Abuse causes brain fog and confusion.

HOW NARCISSISTIC ABUSE IMPACTS YOU

  • Anxiety, depression, or panic
  • Low self-worth and self-trust
  • Difficulty making decisions without fear
  • Loss of identity and voice
  • Trauma bonds that make leaving feel impossible

HOW I CAN HELP

Healing from narcissistic abuse isn’t about “fixing” the narcissist, it’s about reclaiming you. In counseling, I create a safe, supportive space to help you:

  • Regain clarity – learn to recognize manipulation tactics and trust your reality
  • Rebuild confidence – rediscover your voice, desires, and inner strength
  • Heal the nervous system – work through the anxiety, fear, and trauma responses
  • Develop healthy boundaries – learn how to protect yourself without guilt
  • Break trauma bonds – understand why you feel “stuck” and begin to release it
  • Find wholeness again – reconnect with the parts of yourself that were silenced

I use trauma-informed, parts-based, and relational approaches, including my S.A.F.E. Method™, to help you feel grounded, empowered, and free.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE

Whether you are still in the relationship, preparing to leave, or rebuilding your life afterward, support can make all the difference.
